A short history
Cricket in Spain has grown steadily over the past two decades, driven largely by British, Irish, South Asian and Australasian residents alongside Spanish players. Valencia's community is centred on Levante Cricket Club, which publishes fixtures and news on its official club site.
In October 2017 the city hosted the Valencia Smash International T20, featuring touring clubs from the UK alongside Levante CC — documented in the municipal sports foundation's event record.
Where cricket is played
Cricket has been played at the municipal baseball-softball ground in Section VI of the former Turia riverbed (Jardí del Túria), a green corridor running through the heart of the city. It is an outfield shared with other sports, not a dedicated cricket oval — which is part of its character.
Which formats suit Valencia?
- T20 and T30 fit most comfortably into a day and suit shared municipal facilities.
- 40-over games may be possible depending on booking windows — to be confirmed with the venue or host club.
- Friendly, social and mixed-ability games are the norm for touring sides.
What this site is (and isn't)
Cricket in Valencia is an independent project. We are not affiliated with Levante Cricket Club, Cricket España or Valencia City Council. We help visiting clubs understand the options and connect the dots — every booking, surface and fixture remains subject to confirmation with the relevant club and venue authorities.
